Burwood Music Academy is a Melbourne-based music school in Burwood.
Through private lessons, Parents and students can only expect the highest quality education to nurture their music education journey.
Our mission is to consistently deliver the best possible education tailored to fit our students' needs that will encourage and motivate them to attain noteworthy achievements in Piano Music.
We also offer tutoring services for students currently in Years 1-10 or undertaking the IB diploma programme (click button in menu).

The school offers lessons specialising in the following areas:
1. Beginner piano
2. AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) - all grades, any syllabus
3. ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) - all grades
4. VCE Music performance - Units 1 & 2, Units 3 & 4
5. Theory Exams for AMEB and ABRSM - all grades
6. Assist students with special needs
7. All other music books and syllabus preferred by the student or recommended by the teacher upon request

About the Teacher.
With more than 13 years of experience in ABRSM, Clair is capable of delivering high quality musical education for students of all ages. Through most of her tertiary studies, she has been under the tutelage of Tamara Smolyar at the University of Melbourne, a renowned Russian Pianist who has passed down her strict Russian-style pedagogue onto her students. Clair strives to instill a solid piano technique in her students and encourages them to experience the abundance of emotion and beauty that classical piano music has to offer.
Clair currently has more 5 years of teaching experience and focuses on strengthening her student's technique as she believes that having a solid technique allows students to tackle pieces of complex difficulty. Composers such as Nikolai Kapustin and Johann Sebastian Bach has influenced her to challenge herself with highly-demanding pieces with an effortless and polished execution.
